U13 Girls go to Regionals for second straight year!

In a hard fought victory the U13 girls won 2-1 after 2 overtimes and 12 PK’s thanks to Audrey Goode’s final goal! Overall there were 12 PK’s and both goalies were tested. The girls had a difficult Spring going 1-1-4 in the Region 1 Colonial League and expect to see many of those same teams in July. For now they will rest and then begin training for Regionals.

Solid Showing at States

At state this year the Chaos won the U13 and U19 girls brackets and they advance to Regional play while the U14 girls and U15 girls both came in as Finalist. The U13 boys were awarded the Fair Play award.  The U14 girls are West Virginia's representative to the Region 1 President's Cup this weekend.

WV CHAOS U11 GIRLS TAKE RUNNER UP IN LEXINGTON “BIT”

We are very proud of our Chaos 98’ girls for their outstanding play in Lexington on May 15th and 16th  while competing in the BIT. The girls started out the weekend strong defeating  Kings Soccer Academy Spirit 3 to 1 followed by a second game tie of 0 to 0 against a very tough and physical  Sycamore Fury  team from Cincinnati, OH. At the end of Saturday the Chaos were tied for first place in their bracket with the Sycamore Fury team in points and dead even on goal differential. Everything would came down to Sunday mornings 7:45 a.m. game where the Chaos would go on to shut out the Tennessee T’breds  3 to 0 and advance to the Championship game. The Chaos fell to a very solid Cincinnati United team 2 to 0 in the Championship but showed a lot of heart.

Coach Ashleigh Woods said “ I am very proud of the girls and their efforts over the course of the weekend, they played well and showed a lot of heart and determination against some tough competition while battling the fatigue while only having 9 girls due to injuries and missing players.” Coach Woods went on to say “I am looking forward to a great upcoming Fall season with this group.”

U9 Boys win Championship

The WV Chaos ’00 Boys won First Place at the recent 2010 Chick-Fil-A Darrell Moore Memorial Classic in Beckley, WV.  The boys lost one game and tied one game on Saturday and then came back to win on Sunday morning and advance to the championship game.  The championship game was a hard fought game against the CFC U-9 boys ending in a 1-1 tie in regulation play.  Both overtimes were scoreless and the game went to a shootout.  The shootout ended in a 4-3 advantage for our boys.  Coach Marshall Hoff said, “ I am very proud of our boys to play with such heart and determination.  This was their first tournament after forming the team this spring.  They left everything they had on the field.”
